Who

• The Hart Collective core is made up of SJ and Hadassah Hill, two Brooklyn-based queer femme designers, activists and friends who met on staff at $pread Magazine and who just happen to live on Hart Street.
• We love collaborating!

What

• We are committed to empowering individuals to speak for themselves using new technologies, and to creating representations of the diverse communities we embody.
• We have taught together at the Desiree Alliance in San Fransisco [July 2007], and at the upcoming Women, Action and the Media Conference in Boston [March 2008].
• We also produce media - we recently shot a music video, and styled and took portraits at the Fat is Contagious conference Feb 23, 2008 in New York.

Goals

• To ally with working artists and activist groups to enable media production
• To resist the homogenization and corporate branding of cultural production, as we feel it is vital to free speech to equip individuals and small and/or marginalized groups to represent themselves while embracing their individuality and creativity.
• To make art with h[e]art!
